To get big and strong you have to continually push yourself and increase the weight you lift. As you know you can’t always do this. Sometimes a 5lbs jump is too big, like you would have to take with a dumbbell shoulder press. Or in the case of an exercise were you need to add weight, but it’s just too risky to increase the load, because there’s just too much risk of injury. Mass intention techniques work extremely well in these situations.
MI40 Mass Intentions Technique
With the MI40 program and the intentions technique you change the angle of pushing or pulling to stimulate new muscle growth. The key to success lies in the minute detail of what you are doing with your hands and feet. For every exercise either your hands over your feet are doing some kind of pushing or pulling movement to enhance your workout results. Intentions can transform your body.
Lets take a look at an example. In the video below you see Ben explaining his patented intentions technique to the Muscle Cook Dave Ruel on the lat pull down as he works his back muscles.
As you can see in the video of Dave doing on lat pulldown machine working his back muscles, he was instructed to pull the bar down,and apart. Dave made an effort to pull his hands apart, like he was ripping the bar. Of course you won’t be able to rip the bar in two, but the idea is the intention, the effort.
Careful, this MI40 tweak to the classic muscle building exercises is likely to make you more sore than you have been in a long time.

MI40 Mass Intentions Applied
You have see mass intentions in action building back muscles on the lat pull down, but this isn’t the only plication.
In addition to the lat pulldown you can also use the MI40 intentions techniques used on the bench press. Basically what you do in this chest exercise is the opposite of what you’ve seen done on the lat pulldown. Ben explains…
you grab the bar tight and attempt to squeeze your hands together, this really hits the peck muscles.
Remember, you’re going to be using lighter weights than you would normally for all your mass intention sets. If you typically do in the range of 180 to 230 on lat pulldown, 150 will be heavy enough as a starting weight. Evan at that weight it will be enough to stimulate new growth and build muscle fast. You will know it is working because the feeling you get in your back will be completely different than you’re use to, that goes for every other exercise your use the MI40 mass intentions method.
